Key aspects of Embryology studies
Our experiments have revealed severe embryotoxic and teratologic manifestations caused due to pesticides, such as craniorachischisis, microcephaly, hydrocephaly, agnathia, anophthalmia, umbilical hernia, and twisted legs. Our venture revolves around developmental anomalies and congenital defects such as Ventral Body-Wall Defects (VBWD) and Neural Tube Defects (NTD) as well.
Prostanoids play a crucial role in multiple molecular pathways governing a wide spectrum of developmental events. Our ventures have brought novel insights to the present knowledge about these molecules and dissected their pivotal roles in development.
Chick organ formation is accomplished by genes and cell movements similar to mammalian systems. We apply chemical manipulations using NSAIDs to understand roles of the targeted genes on developing embryo.
