Key aspects of Wound healing and Regeneration
We are trying to identify the signature markers of scar-free wound healing in lizard. The efforts are to explore the signalling mechanisms deployed in this pro-regenerative wound repair with an aim to address the human incapabilities on this front in future.
We elucidate the striking difference in the wound healing routes and regenerative potential, as found in lizard appendages. Factors responsible for this contrast are being actively worked upon in lab.
Along with lizards, we are keen to decipher the signalling annexures responsible for fish fin regeneration, The morphological and molecular insights have come from past and present endevours of lab
